CLOUDED LEOPARDS, SMALL CATS AND OTHER MAMMALS

Since 2008 I have been working with camera traps to study the elusive mammals and cats of Borneo.

I am studying the interactions between the 5 cats found on Borneo  including their distribution, density and conservation status.

Since 2014 I have expanded this work to 8 different forests across Indonesian Borneo to gain greater insight into the behavioural ecology and distribution of these cats.

Little is known about Bornean felids and this project will address both the density, distribution and conservation threats to the cats.

Additionally I am working on a biological monitoring project for peat-swamp forest focusing on other mammals specifically small carnivores and sun bears.
